Gaming Should I skip Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory?

So, I've really gotten into the Hyperdimension Neptunia series, and I really want to start playing Hyperdimension Neptunia VII for the PS4, but my problem is that I haven't played Victory yet. For those of you familiar with the series, would it be a bad idea to skip Victory and go straight from mk2 to VII? Also, I skipped the first Hyperdimension Neptunia game and started with mk2. Should I replay the original? I pretty much know the plot of the first game, but would it be a good idea to play it?
