I have a 60gb ps3 and play it sometimes. I love playing online and wonder if its relatively easy to hack, just like Wii U. I dont want to get banned though and love games like Minecraft and GTAV. I dont have a USB mass storage device but i think that if i get one for my Nintendo consoles and for my PS3 (is it possible to burn discs to hdd) then i would be willing to buy one. Thank you (also i would be willing to spend money on a digital purchase to launch homebrew in the style of Haxchi on wii u)
Sorry if i sound dumb, i am a newcomer to the scene. Thank you (PS i already lost my warranty as i was a dumb kid and put a coin into the cooling vents in the back and we pulled apart the console)

Can't play online if you want to hack it, Sony still ban people on PS3 on CFW.

Wow I didn't know that PS3 online was still active that's a very good thing! I remember the good ole days going online with my pirated games funny thing they never banned me on my PS3 but they banned me on my PS4 because I used the same account I used to play my pirated games on my PS3. Luckily I wasn't console banned

It shouldn't be difficult to hack your PS3 but there are Pro's and Cons of hacking it. The major con is not going online I believe there is a way but I think there is a hard mod done to it I forgot I saw it a long time ago of it switching nands and dualbooting.

If you need to ask dont lol you dont know what you missing but if you Play Online I guess not.

Don’t install CFW they get banned easily use HEN and don’t cheat like a dick

I agree with HEN . It can be enabled or not . If you want to be extra safe online , play your discs like normal, without enabling HEN .
If you want to play a single player game , enable HEN and load it from USB .
There's also another important factor , which is the console temperature . For a 60GB , it's pretty normal the temperature goes up to 80 degrees celsius , which will make the console have YLOD sooner or later . If you enable HEN you can check the in-game temperature and lower it manually . If it's too high you migh consider installing CFW instead of HEN , to have lower temperatures during online gaming too .
A banned console is still better than a dead console.
