You have a 3ds but you think the 2ds is cool and new...?

Get the DS Lite so you can use your R4

I'd say if your current 3ds can't run CFW, but the 2DS can, get the 2DS. Otherwise get the DS Lite.

The 2DS has a crappy screen compared to the DSL, DSi and 3DS plus since you already have a 3DS go with the DSL then.

Get the 2ds. If you don't like it, you can probably do an even trade for a DS lite.

DS flashcards a dime a dozen, don't let that impact your decision.

And like mentioned above, if the 2DS is on CFW firmware, take it no questions asked.

It depends on what you want.
On the very positive side, the DS Lite battery can last up to 19 hours if it is in good shape and you select minimum bright.
So it could be useful to pass time if you get lost on an isolated island.

PS: Obviously if you want to make money out of it or you think of "market value", the 2DS is a better option.
