Hacking Should I Exchange my DS? (LCD backlight issue)

I recently purchased a Nintendo DS Lite, and am still within the exchange period from the retailer.

I have noticed that the top screen has some backlight leakage at the bottom of the screen. The bottom 1/10 th of the screen alternates between slightly brighter / slightly darker width-wise. This is not noticeable on a static image (other than all white) but is noticeable on a moving image.

Is it worth returning this? Or is an uneven backlight common on DS LCDs? I worry that if I do return it that I will get one worse (or with dead pixels!).

It's pretty common as far as I know. My XL definitely has it on both screens.
