Walmart definitely deserves it.
all the big stores deserve it , except small local business mom and pop ,main st. type businesses

In fact it staling from them is the moral thing to do ,I mean I am under no illusions that it will make any difference in the end but what you are actually doing by stealing from these mega stores is adding to their operating costs an helping to level the playing field for small businesses but like I said they have so much money it will never amount to anything in the end
in the end we will end up with just Amazon and no physical stores , maybe walmart target home depot and lowes and nothing else . it's awful and they should be severely punished.

I actually used to be quite prolific back in the day , but did get caught eventually , lawyer and court fess probably offset all of my gains or maybe got me to break even at best.
plus having to deal with the court system is awful you are dealing with the lowest scum of humanity
I am of course speaking about clerks lawyers judges PO officers
the saddest excuses for life you will ever encounter

now a days there is not even anything left worth stealing anymore and better quality cameras and security.

Now I just use deal apps like slick deals to get what I want really cheap and I am looking into doing more shilling for /csg/ type shit on Amazon

Internal theft is also a problem for stores (and I'm sure Amazon is not immune to it). I remember working in a store several years ago, and a fellow employee would steal expensive video game carts, leaving the box behind. The manager was furious and threatened every one of us, but he never figured who it was, neither did I. In another place I worked, a coworker managed to steal a whole box of expensive deluxe lighters. He told me all about it. He was reselling them for $10 a piece, or a drink. I patted him on the back, and told him "Good job!" I hated the boss we were working for. :rofl2:

I actually kind of wonder if that is enforced or if there are places that continue to pay their low state wages?
It's enforced, it would be very easy to discover because everyone pays federal taxes on a per paycheck basis

It's why we get refunds at the end of the year - we are paying taxes all year long

Fair enough ^-^

So I was doing shopping at 2am once (nobody around, deals on, no lines... what is not to love?) and the self service stuff is the main thing going on.
Guy walks up with a box of cheap booze (can't remember what precisely, carling, fosters, stella... that sort of thing), hangs around the self service bit for a minute or so and then walks out of the door. My main thought was why would you do that for a crate of cheap and nasty booze when good stuff is right there next to it?

Anyway I am a good boy (even when nobody is looking) so never done anything myself or acted as cover. Can't get to the "they deserve it" line of thought either -- so they picked better stock, got better deals, had relatively less overhead... does not in turn mean they deserve to have someone play the tea leaf. Now if their credit falls short, they fail badly to pick stock or similar then happy to go pick the corpse clean.

Yes they have a lower wage on the books, but they must follow the federal minimum wage laws - so it's 7.25 regardless
If they'd stop paying us pennies on the dollar we wouldn't be so damn grumpy.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

When I was a kid, about 5 or 6, I was reading a book in a charity shop. My 'mother' called me out of the shop and it wasn't til we got halfway down the street she asked where I got the book from. I'd been so into it I'd walked out without paying and not realized. I said we needed to go back and pay but she acted like I'd asked her to climb Mount Everest using only her arse. So technically I stole that book instead of paying the 10p. I did make it up to them eventually though. About 20 years later I was back in the area and went back to that charity shop, gave them a £20 note explaining what happened and that should cover the book and any interest that had accrued.
Good man.

I am not here to rant but here is one good reason why Walmart deserves what they get.

So I make an mobile online order on Apr 8th, 4am. I get off work at 2pm. I uber to Walmart. My order is not ready.

What?

You had 10 hours to get from opening the store to get 10 items in a basket ready to go minus one cold item. So this took two trips to get the item(s), the day of and the day after, mind you this is in 2021.

But no that's not worse. I ask them about the procedure and they said "We charge the day of pick up." Pfft. I believe that when you stop treating your employees worse than Amazon treats theirs.

So I check my email and lo and below I get an "Your order complete!" on May 28th 2021. I check my bank and sure enough the amount that was made for the mobile order was charge.

This is a facepalm moment.

If you haven't done the math already that's 50 days from the time of order to the time of purchase. I could of nuked my card and you'd never gotten the cash.

Is there flying butt monkeys running the business? Or am I an paygrade above an chimpanzee?

Oy.

Does something like twillight-CD/DVD count, in that case i'd done a lot o crimes.
maybe renting most of my snes games and using my SuperWildCard on them counts?
making my own personal crack for unreal tournament (i forgot wich version) at school, did not only crack it, circumvented the admin rights needed to install it normally.
later heard it took school 7 years to find it and removed it.
was great to be able to abuse schools LAN in between classes to battle each other!

I'm a store owner, I serve about 200 clients daily, i caught shoplifters more than any real friends you have irl:
Women steal from wax cream, slips to absorbents, men from charging cable to lighters, whole the time SMH

I don't even bother call cops anymore, cauz few Euro goods are not even pesecutable, so I just have them buy the stolen product and ask them to never show up again.

SMH, why people even do such shit? don't they have any job?

Yeah they do have a job. Like myself but i am not customer friendly, I catch myself mean mugging a lot of people on a daily basis. The reason for the shoplift is even if you stop one, you can not stop all. Same goes for racism, hatred, jealously etc. You may make a change today but will people really learn? My store is super aggressive with it comes to customers and personally i just wear red tinted sunglasses, because the idea of bashing someone's head in with a bat does not change the outcome of the store. It does scare people away and by fear alone (yes, that is a wrong way of thinking) you can and will accomplish your goals. But you and me are not like those Koreans who shoot first and ask questions later are we?

In general long story short the whole thing sucks. But you have to have a different approach to it. Because I'm pretty sure when it comes to trust for you it's as far as you can throw them, and if it's not far then you're ******.

But hey about my walmart thing it is what it is. I bust my ass everyday working from the sweat of my brow, driven insane because tomorrow morning the same thing has to be done over and over again. It's insanity at its finest.

But that's retail. Only the strong shall survive. The weak will perish.

Not gonna lie. Ive stolen alot of pricey things. Mostly electronics. Before i could afford expensive things but now i'll shoplift because i can't afford what i want. I don't feel any guilt stealing from big chains like Walmart. I recently shoplifted a pair of joycons (They're not behind a glass or anything, so i just rip the packaging and steal the joycons right out of the package to make sure there's no beeper lol) I've saved a tremendous amount of money that's forsure.
5 finger discount

Used to lift Apple earbuds back in the late 2000s. They were the easiest to jack because they were always in a cardboard box. I did it because I was absolutely abusive to my items, and headphones lasted all but a few weeks. Got banned from a KMart because I didn't quite understand AP until that day. Won't say why or for what.

Oh thanks!

My buddy got banned from a Target for attempting to steal the South Park movie. Karma struck twice as after he got caught he had to wait around for his mom to show up and get him - and some people stole his unlocked bike waiting outside of the store.
