Hacking Shop Channel and Modern Warfare 3

Hey guys, awhile back I changed my shop channel from US to United Kingdom. Long story short I broke the shop channel and Modern Warfare 3 complained about it until I fixed it, but now I am stuck in UK. My question is what does Modern Warfare 3 do with the shop channel? I have NTSC-U disc so is it still using US servers or am I playing the Brits when I go online?
