Found a video showing some gameplay footage of Shinobi for the 3DS.

It doesn't look all too impressing, in my opinion..

It does look pretty blah. Could have been made for DS and worked just the same. But might be fun to play if you're into that kind of thing.

A lot of emphasis on foreground/background going on. Seems they've concentrated more on the 3D aspect of the 3DS and not on it's greater power (with which comes great responsibility).

Looks very much like 'we took too long to get this on DS, so we put some 3D effects on it'

I agree with other posters. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if this was originally being made on a normal DS, but then they decided it was dead and quick ported it to 3DS without much effort. Hopefully the gameplay will be fun at least, and maybe the 3D effect will look decent. But the graphics are absolutely ugly. I'm no graphics whore as anyone here can probably tell you, but they're so downright hideous that they actually make it painful to look at sometimes.

Doesn't help that it has a totally uninspired and half assed art style. Many polygonal DS games have been more visually appealing due to nice designs and art. Not here though, the graphics and art are ugly.

Yeah, I was pretty stoked for it when it was first announced, but after watching stage demos of it over the past week, I'm not too thrilled.
