Hacking SHIMMY SHIMMY!

my dad looked at my cyclo, and it is a little bit warped. This means the contacts aren't lining up equally. We put a little bit of credit card plastic very thin in between the outside of the ds and the sticker side of the card. It works now flawlessly! Do you see any longterm problems here? Should i return it or am i good to go will it affect my ds at all? also im only putting about an inch of the card in the slot the credit card

From what I've read on the official forums, it seems that they'll eventually die completely even if you can get them working with the shim. I'd say that it'd be best to see if your vendor won't exchange the cart for you, as it seems that many of them are now more liberal in their coverage time of the original design Evolutions as they are still failing even after working for months.

I'm pretty sure that realhotstuff is taking back ones even older than 90d (of the earlier design) and others as well probably.

If you start to get annoyed by the credit card in there then exchange it, Otherwise it should work fine.

yeah because the problem is purely a contact issue right? i mean if it fixes the contacts it should be fine right it won't hurt my ds right? also how much would it be to send the cyclo back to real hot stuff like in 4 days?

Yeah its most likely a contact issue, I don't know how long it would take to ship to RHS and ship back out, It should be pretty quick because RHS is the shit!
