'Shenmue III' gets delayed again

If you thought that the last time Shenmue III was delayed it would be the last, you'd be forgiven. The game was initially slated for a 2018 release after a successful Kickstarter campaign but it was delayed to August 27, 2019. This much anticipated title even seemed to be on track to maintain this release date after we saw new footage of the game a few months ago.

However, in an update to backers, Yu Suzuki & Deep Silver announced today that Shenmue III's release has been pushed back again, this time for November 19th, 2019. The Kickstarter news update reads the following:

Whilst almost ready, the game simply needs a little more refinement before being truly finished.

We feel that the extra time we have will help us deliver the true Shenmue experience players around the world deserve!

Shemue III now releases for PCs and PS4 this November 19th.

It may not matter - if death stranding gets a 5 out of 10 everywhere then shenmue may lose just a few hundred sales - 6 out of 10 or more shenmue fked:lol:

I never really have high expectations of kickstarter games. It's like they're telling you we couldn't get a major studio to pony up the money and so we need your money to make the game. Almost every kickstarter game ends up average at best or worse.

But I'm still interested in this for the story.
