Japan is the country of weird things, but holy damn, they've done it now. They have created a humongous tv that has a resolution of 7,680 x 4,320 pixels with 33 megapixels which dwarves the 2 megapixel true HD format. The tv uses Sharp's UV2A technology that uses the ultraviolet spectrum to precisely control the alignment of liquid crystal molecules in LCD screens. Which basically means it uses a new technique to spit out extremely high-res pictures.
