Which path would you like ShadowNAND and SaltFW to have?

I'm sorry but i can't seem to find this 'pathchanger' everyone is talking about (I'm such a noob). Can anybody guide me as to where i can find this pathchanger. Also, one question, can i still use Luma3ds' function to launch other arm9 payloads by holding buttons on boot.

Whoa. I didn't know I'll get spoonfed this much. Thank you very much.

Edit: If I were to update the payload using (say) star updater, will it still work? I'm having the impression that the boot.bin i just downloaded was already patched using this 'pathchanger' and updating payload will replace it with an unpatched one.

Edit2: no need to answer my question. Payload is indeed patched.

Not necessarily a9lh payload. It can be installed at 2.1 with arm11.bin and such. Just follow @Plailect's guide until the very end, and then install ShadowNAND once you're completely done. Meanwhile, press @Plailect so he adds ShadowNAND to the guide :P

EDIT: While I'd love it to be added to the guide, I don't think it should be added just yet. It's not ready for public consumption and updating ShadowNAND is not easy/safe. I'll be asking it to be included in the guide when I make v1.0 release. Stay tuned, thank you.
Thanks, looking forward to v1.0 :-) Will be handy for mass producing old 3DS consoles with a bunch of games on each as presents for nieces and nephews etc.

I know right? That was the main driving force behind SaltFW, but my idea was to have it work without SD, and now with the help of great devs such as Aurora, TuxSH and D0k3, I'm making it real.

I tried asking on reddit and didn't get a real answer. What kind of benefits/reasons would people have to running their CFW without an SD card? Can't run any CIA games/apps. Lose access to your homebrew. Can't access eShop or themes. I mean, if you wanted to boot into it without an SD card and play a retail cartridge you've got that going for you.

Without SD you can: Run DS carts, DSiWare, any homebrew that installs to NAND (I'll be releasing a few important tools as NAND-install), and play regular game carts. Also use Internet and such, in case you forgot your SD at home for some reason or another.

I installed it in my 3ds, and it works perfectly, even with Luma3DS and CTRboot, only BootAnim9 doesn't work, but it's not a big deal

Right, but all that can be done with your SD card in as well, so that doesn't provide any benefit other than if you don't have your SD card with you. I dunno, I guess I've never had the issue of forgetting my memory card since every time I go to install something I usually have to pull it out of my PC to put it back into my 3DS. And that's just my thoughts is all, I'm sure this will provide plenty of people use in one way or another. Thanks for the hard work by the way.

So because you can't see the benefit, a A9LHed console has to stay a brick if you're out of a SD card for some time while a stock or menuhaxed console can still be used?
Interesting.

Some things it's good for are simplicity, reliability and resilience. The last of those is particularly useful when setting up a 3DS for someone who isn't technical and who'd likely to mess up a more conventional setup. It "just works" after all.
