Hacking Setting to highlight last played rom?

is it possible to set it so the acekard 2i automatically highlights my last played rom after soft-resets, etc?

because i'm kinda getting sick and tired of having to scroll all the way to the bottom of my rom directory just so I can reload a game that I soft reset out of...

No. Sort them into folders so you don't need to scroll so much since each folder will have a small amount. Alphabetical works fine.

1 dir is fine for all roms for me, but requires to list text only. if you use icons then it does stutter when scrolling and can take forever. With filename only it scrolls super fast using page down (> on your ds)

In general a faster MicroSD (faster read speed that is, not entirely linked to class) can reduce or remove the stuttering.
