i'm trying to figure out which mod chip to buy for my brand new wii. arrived today
i'm not having much luck on google so here is my serial
lu632332725
what chip do i have and what chip should i buy?
i'm looking at the wiikey with the wiiclip. is there a better chip to buy?
any help would be appreciated.
thanks

WiiDrives suggests that you have a D2E drive. Don't think you have a D2E drive for sure; you can only be sure by opening up the Wii. Anything beyond D2C cannot take the original WiiKey.

If you have a D2E drive, you may or may not have epoxy. (WiiDrives gave a 50-50 report.) If it is an epoxy D2E or D3 drive (D3 looks totally different), look for fourth generation modchips such as the Wasabi DX, DriveKey, FlatMii, and FlatMod. Or remove the epoxy and install one of the below modchips.

If it is a D3 drive and does not have epoxy, look for almost any modern modchip, such as the Wasabi Zero, D2Sun, and WiiKey 2.

thanks for the info now im looking at the wasabi dx
it can be used for both modding methods, like the drive key or the wasabi zero
has anyone had any good experiences with this chip?
