I got it back today but they said they didn't fix it due to "homebrew". My wii works but now it doesn't read burned discs anymore (so I thought). I'm sure it has the d3-2 chipset. The funny thing it it reads only real, mcc 003 verbatim dvds not 004. I have tried neogamma, darkcorp and 004 will not work. I no longer have 003 ver dvds and since the are very rare, no longer in production. I need some links to a good external hard drive. So the d3-2 can read burned dvds but the better older versions can anyone verify that?

The D3-2 chipset can only read Nintendo's discs. Since it could read burned discs, there's no way you have a D3-2 chipset.
