So I semi bricked my wii. The error msg is tha opera browser msg. I just have a quick question. Can you down grade you wii and then try to play a newer game and have it ask for a wii upgrade. I have been reading alot on this and understand if you put a game in like big brain it should prompt you to update your wii firmware and that it would fix this issue. Is there a way??

Thanks

Downgrading and then upgrading from disc is one of the biggest causes of bricks. I can't warn you enough NOT to do that.

Yes intentionally downgrading and then upgrading with a disc is pretty much asking for a bricked Wii. You get that opera message when you go into the Wii settings? If so it's likely because you did some sort of disc update from a game that isn't from your region or something.

E does not mean English. If you have an american NTSC system you would update to 4.1U, not 4.1E. Did you semi brick it by a disc update or picking a wrong region when updating or something like that?
