hello , i have Semi bricked wii , Japan region , it have just modchip no homebrew channel installed on it , can anybody help ? can i fix this ? i think system version is 4.2

Did you have Priiloader or BootMii installed? If you have BootMii, see if you have a backup and restore from that.

If you can reach the Wii Menu, try installing the HBC + BootMii. If you can't do that, you might be out of luck.

you can use bannerbomb (for SM4.2), even if you can't access settings.
on 4.2, bannerbomb is launched by using the SD menu in the main interface, not in the settings.

so put bannerbomb and hackmii installer on a SD, fire up bannerbomb, install HBC and then you just need to reinstall SM4.2 from your country (with dop-mii for example).

you don't need a game exploit to get your homebrew added to the wii. just the right files. need more help just drop a line here, there are lenty of us who will help.
( first seggestion though ,if your the one who put the chip in, or know how to remove it, this would be my first step. then do a soft mod.)

thank you people very much for response , im not sure that this wii is 4.2 , i just know that its 4.X (it has SD card Icon in menu ) so if its 4.1 , can i brick it with bannerbomb ?

you could, (if your not sure what your doing/ reading things carefully.). i just bomed my son's wii that we are giving him for christmas.( although he is getting the older one..lol.).. i had it done in 5 min.

Well the first post said you think its on 4.2, so try Bannerbomb. If that doesn't work, try an exploit for a higher version (4.3).
