GG Shinobi was easily the best game for it. In fact it's probably one of my favourite games ever. I liked it way more than the Shinobi games on SMS & MegaDrive

GG Shinobi 2 is decent since it's more Shinobi, but it's not quite up there with the original.

The Sonic games are fun.

Devilish is alright.

The Disney platformers are also surprisingly good.

Other than that I don't think there's much else interesting on Game Gear

Columns was OK. Alien3 wasn't bad. I really enjoyed the GG Sonics. Castle of Illusion is great. Mean Bean Machine is ok-ish but nowhere near as good as the MD version. Land of Illusion was great. The Micro Machines games are really playable. Ninja Gaiden ain't bad. The Wonderboy games are fun and look half decent. (Had to read Wikipedia to remember! Easier than digging the box out!)

I posted in the Essentials topic. I didn't have a whole lot of games on that system back then...best time if ever to get more exposure to that handheld.

I will never forget how many batteries that beast ate over its lifetime. ;_;
