Ehh, I'm not so sure if it's a matter of the specs, I think it's really just the lack of interests. I've seen some footage of experimental nullDC builds for the Wii (it was a "for kicks" job) and it wasn't terrible considering the fact that it wasn't a serious project. ;) Now, that's not to say that you'd get full FPS and compatibility, but perhaps with some frameskip it'd be "somewhat playable".

NullDC also has a WIP or POC build for the 360.
I think it's just lack of interest indeed.
Seeing that a lot of Dreamcast titles are rereleased or ported and bundled together.

Pretty sure the Wii u could handle Dream cast emulation well.
The Wii........not so much but I always wondered about a ps3. I'm not sure if it can but I know that I play Sa2 on my tablet smooth (minus some graphical glitches)

Mmmmm me wonders where I can find this magical source perhaps.......Linkage???

If you have an Android phone, download the DC emulator called reicast. I been playing the two sonic adventures, skies of Arcadia, and shenmue on my xperia play. Imagine how faster it would be on newer phones, and the emulator is still in alpha! So the Wii could run a DC emulator if awesome devs like these make one for it.

We ALL know that the Wii is obviously more powerful than the Dreamcast. But, games on it were coded in Windows Related Languages, it would be difficult to create a DC emulator for the Wii (& vWii).
Since the Wii Run's games on a totally different Code platform. Sorry, but it doesn't look like your gonna get anywhere, except that you can play DC Games on a PC.
