Greetings and good day, Tempers.
I have my first ever Nintendo Switch (Mariko) from back when it was first released. That little fella has been with me through tough times and it broke down on me and I need to get it fixed
I first broke it when I attempted to install SXOS modchip (to avoid the injection process) by removing processor capacitors by mistake. Through a very arduous process, I managed to install them back with the help of a friend of mine whose much better at soldering than me but it still didn't work.
He tested pins and found out charging IC chip was malfunctioning (probably due to heat gun use) and got it replaced but now other capacitors show the CPU is likely fried.
I now have a full switch with a blown motherboard and a v1 replacement motherboard at hand and wondering what options I have in order to get a working unit. I'm nearly certain no NAND backups were made but I have another Switch in working condition (v2? The one with improved battery) with Hekate and Atmosphere.
Could anyone kindly point me to how I could potentially get it fixed.
Thanks in advance and thank you for your time.
I'm aware that the EMMC and motherboard are linked but I'm still hoping for a fix.
I was wondering why motherboards are being sold if no fix was possible wither way and one couldn't backup NAND if motherboard was still functional.
