Snake, Wario, Lucas, DeeDeeDee, Zelda, Ice Climbers, Pokemon Trainer,

together with this text.

When you have a battle mode that runs online like Basic Brawl, the problem of what to do with hidden characters arises. If one of your opponents chooses a character you haven’t unlocked yet, it will be spoiled for you immediately.

As a side note: You know that ball-and-cup game? Before i zoomed in on this picture http://www.smashbros.com/en_us/gamemode/wi...4_071207a-l.jpg (link intended) I thought the wii > world was a ball-and-cup game.

that screen was from test stations of the game from places like E for All, and he combined it with posts from the website that were telling of other players, to create a full list :]. Also must be more characters, I'm guessing, that are hidden?

I'm just reporting logic. Maybe Sega sold Sonic to Nintendo? O.o ...nah

Nah Nintendo would never be so stupid to buy a character that doesn't sell much anymore.
actually, if i remember correctly....
when sega was forced out of bussiness after releasing the ill fated( but really cool) dreamcast, they broke the sega company into 3 sections and sold one to nintendo, one to sony and one to microsoft. if you remember, sonic the
(new) hedgehog was released for all 3 nex gen consoles.

p.s._ hope gannondorf comes back!

definitely not a final screenshot? if it is they definitely edited/changed it so that it doesnt reveal too much

if thats the total size of all the characters possible (unlockable or not), then people are going to be VERY disappointed..

He continues by saying
"But even without this mode, given the proliferation of the Internet these days, the existence of hidden characters is going to get exposed anyway."
and that is true.

I'm betting hidden characters are not going to be announced, so we haven't heard about any of them yet.

Here's proof that this is not the final character select....
THERE'S NO KIRBY!

Winning logic!
Honestly, how could you even think that screen was final when Kirby is not in it?
Besides, 3rd parties are unlockable...according to an old interview with Sakurai.

Corocoro's SSBB feature should be coming soon...

I thought PS4/5 and Xbox One emulation would be kind of easy since they basically just a PC
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
    they sorta are a pc
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They haslve dedicated on board chips that aren't tweaked like x64/x32 afaik
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
but its a custom os for both of them
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
    designed for only specific hardware
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
so you have to learn to emulate that specific hardware which isn't as easy as you'd think
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
It's a locked down Linux distro basically
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think the only custom hardware is to do with the SSD and a security chip
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Probably combined in one chip
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They place married security chips onto boards iirc

Damn Frontier is offering 5Gbps now lol

Honestly after the PS3 and 360 I just went full PC
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Every games basically cross platform they only have about 6 titles making it worth the $600 price tag
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Didn't see much need for a console, all the advantages have kind of disappeared
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
the ps3 used to support installing linux because the cpu was so powerful
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Then the games are $70 and they want to reboot and refresh the same game every year
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
The ps3 was always Linux they just found a way to make it open source
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
I'm avoiding buying from the big 3 at all atm
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
At one point PC game pads where poorly supported, loading a game had setup, it was complicated. Now it's almost as easy as a console.
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
nintendo needs to up their game soon
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Yeah even bt support for Xbox one controllers are just as easy as pairing
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
considering the steamdeck can emulate the switch (yikes) theres almost 0 reason to buy the switch apart from playing online and using cartridges

Xinput and 360 dongles were a driver nightmare
