So, what is your wish list? We probably won't include all of your demands (yes, we've tried to make coffee with sciifii but, we had a bug

).

Actually, we are working on these points:

- Remove our libfat memory leak => DONE
- Remove datas from sciifii (ie, we won't embed feature like priiloader). Instead, we will download them (this is better for updates) => DONE
- Remove the corp and system tag. We will put this lists into the corp/SystemUpdater step tags => DONE
- Use SHA1 algo to detect download errors => DONE
- Use more Exception types => this will allow us to manage errors (for exemple, error 1035 on TBR means that an old corp is installed) => not done, perhaps in v4
- Add hack.ini to the sd when we install the preloader => DONE
- Add hermes cios(es) => IN PROGRESS
- Add custom tasks (see below for an sample). => DONE
- Create Actions for the custom tasks (if you have some ideas) => DONE
- Perhaps we will add a real UI (we need a designer and a ergonomist) => IN PROGRESS (for V4)

- put the waninkoko Cios250 => DONE
- launch elf/dol => NOK, we will have problem at the end of the launched dol/elf
- Install bootmi/HBC => OK, but not done.
- Have a beater readme => IN PROGRESS
- Waduninstaller => DONE
- A clean option => DONE
- More apps => Use custom tasks

- A winform app to create the xml => Very good idea. We can add this in our todo list. But i think we wont include that into V3 (not enough time).
- A wii scanner (csv log) => NOK, i think sciifii doesn't nedd that
- A background music player => can be done, but with a very low priority
- Hackmii => see Install bootmi/HBC
- revision number in decimal, not hexa (in xml file) => DONE
- Choose cios slot => DONE
- Patching the IOS70 => DONE (with the cios step or Corp step)
- Installing cmios => DONE

No, because it isn't possible to return to sciifii at the end of the homebrew (in fact it is, but this isn't a good idea, some homebrew won't return to sciifii because they check if they are launched by HBC before returning to the launcher).

@TeenTin: We are working on an variant of the HBC (an app like an explorer, where you can navigate throught file system, launch dol/elf and many other things). This will be added to the v4.

IMO it'd be awesome if it just showed a list of things to do on your wii.

eg: the main menu would have options like
1]update to 4.2:yes no
2]restore trucha to IOS36 and remove stubs: yes no
3]patch system menu IOS:yes no

5]install hermes cIOS: yes no
6]install priiloader: yes no

you would just choose whatever you want to do, put the wad's that will be used in the scifii folder and apps that will be used in the apps folder, and let it do the rest.

optionally setup a premade SD package that people can download and it will have a pre setup SD card structure with the latest USB loader GX and Configurable USB loader, and forwarder channels for both.

We can put an option in the config file to skip the "one button" mode.

@yesjohn : no we won't. First because we will respect the TT position and then because we are not able to install bootmii in boot2.

i really like what have you done on version 2

i like version 3 to be like version 2 with just some extra instructions like:

"enable a dol loader to be executed at the end of the installation."

"Title un/installer"

"wad uninstaller"

maybe a"region setter"

i've done installing bootmii IOS using IOS254.wad
(and reloading IOS254 will take you to bootmii) nice!

I've not tried your app, but thought I'd post some suggestions after reading a few topics about it (sorry if I missed something)


Option to clean SD card EG deleted files after use..hmmm some more thoughts on this needed.

More loaders EG CFG, uLoader, NeoGamma etc
Other app installs (latest revs) to SD/USB ? Triiforce, SaveGameManager GX

Print a txt or csv of info about the wii, region, menu, ios etc with maybe a before/after ?

A simple windows.form for making the xml's on the pc

I'm not 100% on any of they ideas, just felt like posting

The next imho is a must though...
As much info as possible with the release, first a concise run through of things, and then a little more in depth. Maybe have the read me as HTML or PDF with link to places in the doc (this is to hopefully save repeated questions by the n00bs)

A GUI would be nice, or even just a decent background like WM has. An option to play music (like a cIOS installer) maybe?

@yesjohn on first page - It can install bootmii IOS if you have a WAD of it. Make one with bluedump, and have sciifii install it. HBC can be installed with the same method, but it will nag you about scams...

No point in a GUI or music because you will only be using this programme once on each wii.

Maybe a choice so you can install a cIOS to any slot 200 or above (except 204) So you can have like waninkoko's rev7 cIOS installed in slot 234 for 1:1 disc dumping through wifi etc...

well u wouldn't have to delete it afterwards (i'm pretty sure TT doesn't care if u hold onto the hackmii installer indefinitely as long as it was downloaded from their site)
