Science fair

Well, the strict mandatory quest for knowledge that has been thrust upon me forces me to participate in an annual smartass contest commonly referred to as the 'Science Fair'. My problem? I have not a single idea as to what I shall do.
That is where you come in, fellow GBATempers. Have any here have participated in the science fair at the regionals (and above) level, that would like to offer me aid in this 'project'?

I'm looking for a science-fair project that is adequate for a high school senior. I have been told though, that any projects concerning animals and humans will not be accepted.

Anyways, I did a project in Grade 9 that I did good on. I think 92%? I did a greenhouse comparison. I bought and set up two identical greenhouses, except for one, I out in a heater to see if heat would make the plants grow better. The Romans used fire pits in the first greenhouses, and then they removed them when they found out it really didn't do much. The greenhouses were miniature, about the size of a printer. Gave them both same amount of water, same plants, same amount, same exposure to sunlight. I used a sun lamp to simulate day and used a blanket to cover to simulate night. My plants were I think mint, parsley, chives and some other thing. You can copy it exactly if you want to. I was runner up to go to the regionals. Stupid molecular theories and crap. And science fair sucks.

I doubt there is a online how to make a atomic bomb for dummies. I mean they friggin kill scientists who learn that stuff and go to countries like Iran.

You just need a basic diagram, enough for a good crossection, and them some theoretical physics for the "experiment"

You could try focusing a laser from a laser pointer to the point that it makes a nice mark on tissue paper

You'll need a ton of lenses though

Unfortunatly, yes. But according to my goddamn teachers a full science project needs a thesis, research, experimentation, conclusion, etc. So just creating a model of something to demonstrate a scientific principle won't do. The first response sounds good enough for me to get an A. I think I'm going to do that.

How about the Coriolis force? Take a turntable. Put a pendulum in the middle, with a bottle of sand instead of a weight. Let the sand pour from the bottle. Spin the turntable. Swing the pendulum. The sand will weave a rosetta on the turntable. Looking from a bit off, the pendulum swings along the same axis, but looking from a point of view somewhere on the turntable, you see that the pendulum seems to change direction, as illustrated by the rosetta.

Then, put some paper on the turntable. Turn it on. Take a ball soaked in ink, and set it rolling across the paper. You see it rolling (you hatin'... etc etc, don't mind me) in a straight line, but look at the line the ink leaves on the paper. It's a curved line. Looking from a point on the turntable, the ball seems to mysteriously change direction, under the influence of some strange force.

That "force" is called the Coriolis force, and is a natural product of the law of conservation of angular momentum in non-inertial systems.

Now look at the entire Earth. Looking down from one of the poles, the world seems like a big turning turntable. Slightly chubbier in the middle than most turntables, but still. And the same "effect" can be seen on huge pendulums, and ink-soaked balls big enough to roll to the Equator without stopping.

Also mention the effect this "force" has on planes, rockets, and winds, twisting monsoons to create hurricanes, and prairie winds to create tornadoes. But it doesn't affect water draining out of a sink, and the claims water spins this way or that depending on the hemisphere are a myth.
