I want to scan a few of my discs and prolly submit them to WiiTDB but all of them come out with an annoying rainbow effect all over the reflective parts of the disc's surface. I suppose it's caused by the scanner lights right?

How do I prevent getting those rainbows from appearing on the scanned disc?

This is just a suggestion, but try turning the disc a bit and try again. Maybe the "rainbow" is due to the polarisation of the reflective parts? I don't know for sure, but you could try atleast :)

Actually, the effect is most likely due to diffraction of the scanner light and cannot be prevented. The least invasive way to remove it is to use edit them out on your PC, I do not know a way to physically remove it without damaging the disc.

I appreciate the suggestions guys, thx. Hielkenator, don't be a dick; at least try not to if you can't help it.

This is what it looks like:

So what most users do when they submit to WiiTDB is remove them with photoshop?

@ Zhelkus, I was'nt being a dick. I'm serious.
Use the filters in Photoshop or use the clone tool.

Again, I'm not going to do a Tutorioal about Photoshop.
Maybe GBA temp is'nt the place to ask about these kind of things.

Better check other Fora for this kind of stuff.
