its a plastic "pin" thats keeps you from pressing all 4 buttons att the same time. You need to dissemble i
Yeah that's right, just couldn't be a##ed dissembling my pad, doesn't help when I don't have the tool haha, sure i do though, might be in the car... ill soon find it*

Ok tested and i now have 3.3(EUR) displaying on my wii - so this does work - i tried plugged into the first port but it didnt work - tried on the back one and it worked ok - might just have been a co-incidence , but i have that displaying now anyway

*edit* and for anyone trying this - the wii can be restarted with your nose .... its not pretty to see a 36 year old man on his knees pressing 4 buttoms and with hands and using his nose to start a wii - not pretty at all

so this resets the firmware?
How could it possibly do that just by holding a few minor buttons, its not like it has a backup firmware to use as a replacement of a damaged firmware.

QUOTEit accesses the nintendo recovory menu, it can be used to recover from region bricks and stuff
Correct

How do they find thes tricks

""lets take our Gc pad apart and press all 4 d-pad buttons and wish somting nice will happend""

its hilarious

That's about it*
Madness isn't it, i can't understand how they manage to find out this stuff, just think anyone could have found this out if you played with your pad lol.

SaveMii sales should be coming to a shadowing halt, oh dear. anyway....

If you weren't chipped like most on this forum now.......what could this help do like starfall would do, also is this 4 button gcpad for all firmwares?

As people say they cannot even get passed a autoboot TP hack save to load a boot.dol if they've bricked their wiis?

Hell I was just one step near the recovery mode... this seems like a bullshit but I can disassembly my spare gc pad just for this if it's true

Ive tried this about 20 times and only got it to work once - it does work as ive seen it on screen myself but its a bit of a bugger to get it working.
I dont use my gamepad so i may just solder the 4 points and be done with it.

I used the controller port at the back on the time it works - not sure if thats required or not.

The up down left and right are just 2 connectors seperated by a bit of plastic - pressing down on the pad connects them with a bit of metal , so putting 4 strips of metal over the 4 directions and should do the same thing and save your fingers

so marcan, you must of known about this, wouldnt something like this be i the wii somewhere while you was dumping out data about how the wii works.
More than likely but like most rather make something and look even better, plus make some money:)

hey djtaz, that sounds just the trick for the lazy ones lol.

possibly the best thing since the loader came out due to it saving wii's - who is due the credits on this find ??

Ever thought that all the savemii dongle does is make the Wii think that the 4 directions of the gamecube d-pad are pressed?

Sounds like thats what its doing alright - i assume a bit of paper stuffed into the controller holding down all 4 buttons would do the same tick so ?
