Hey ive got a problem i downloaded it with homebrew browser... when i try to use it it starts and then gives a error code with a lot of numbers

Hey dj_skual, sorry for the late reply. I've been too sick to try to test things out.
Anyways, I just did, and it boots perfectly fine for me. I couldnt reproduce the problem.
However, My wii has ONE save. It's the HBC save. As soon as I delete it and go to the HBC to launch savegame manager GX, it recreates the file. So I'm not sure what to do there.

Well, it seems like you were able to get that error. Can you please look for the stack dump and post the error numbers here?

you can use a generic forwarder channel, and set it to launch savegameManagerGX.

Here is the elf_dol_forwarder : http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=114165
download the first one, and install the wad on your wii.
the channel will forward to any .dol you want.

to select the target boot.dol :
on the SD card, put elf_dol_forwarder.conf at the root, and edit the content in notepad.

Another method :
- if you already have usbloaderGX forwarder, you can boot it and launch savegameManager from inside the loader's "homebrew browser" menu.
- you can use homebrew launcher with bannerbomb
- or, as far as using bannerbomb, use it to launch boot.dol of savegameManagerGX directly.

oh yeah bannerbomb.. donno why I forgot that..

Anyways, ran it through bannerbomb with no saves.. ran fine.. no code dumps
4.1E incase that means anything

Hey dj_skual, I tried the senario I presented on irc, it still worked fine..
So yeah it's up to people who actually have this problem..

Ok people,

we need help to test the new feature by giantpune before an official release
please read the following post from giantpune

test version... http://www.multiupload.com/V9L6ZG0OI9

based off svn r81
doesnt use cIOS
uses the usb2 stuff in ios58 thanks to latest libogc
only intended for the brave people with a working nand backup and the knowhow to restore it
uses the super cool ahbprot stuff HBC gives
requires HBC 1.0.8 that is using UNPATCHED IOS58 v6175

this is called a test version for a reason. it is modifying your nand and if it is not working right, runs the risk of blowing up in your face. other possible issues are loss of saves, the game not being able to access its save, and/or erectile dysfunction. you will have to follow the instructions accompanying HBC to start it without the ios reload, otherwise it wont really do anything cool.

i tested this out myself with good results. it did freeze the first time i created a folder on my HDD and extracted a save. but after restarting my wii, everything worked fine. im not sure if this is a bug i made, a 1 time fluke, or something pre-existing.

and dont forgot to report your test here
please load from hbc and don't forget to set up your meta correctly

thx

i'm really sad to see nobody is interested to use this app without the need of a cIOS249

like this is a dangerous feature, we need some beta testers!!!

please, test and report....

thx guys.

I'll try to get some testing done on this sometime during the week... but wouldn't this also be subject to the HBC no_ios_reload bug when no wifi connection is configured? As such... even if it is stable, I don't think I personally would recommend people use it until after the HBC is updated to address the no_ios_reload+connectivity issue... just my 2 cents... I hope to see a new HBC soon!!! So many great apps are being written or re-written to use ahbprot rights, but they are all buggy because of this issue with the HBC!

I dont think that nobody is interested in this app!!
I think that it's just a dangerous feature, and those without bootmii as boot2 are just not willing to risk it

The wii I'm currently using is bootmii as ios only..

to people having trouble with code dump on start up

ok madriri4ever,
of course i will made the app boot throught ios58 with giantpune libpatch only if used boot ios is ios58 ( so need to activate this in HBC ).
i will let you the choice to use this feature or not.
So, if you don't boot throught ios58, you always need a cIOS249 to boot the app.

by this way, user can choice to boot with the giantpune libpatch or with a cIOS.
