Hacking Savegame and EmuNAND

Hi!

I have Animal Crossing preinstalled on my 3DS and I'd like to know if I would keep my savegame of the preinstalled if I play with an Animal Crossing ROM on EmuNAND

No one can give you a definitive answer.

-Some people say Gateway can't read firmware >6.x saves due to the encryption method
-Some people say the firmware doesn't matter, the game decides which encryption is used and you can simply patch the games

Ok, so could I play Animal Crossing on EmuNAND with my SysNAND savegame ?

I would say NO to the original question. Rom saves are handled differently than preinstalled saves. However if you setup emunand, surely it just runs as normal there?

Yeah, look, I am on 5.1. I'll surely downgrade to 4.5 (preinstalled game and its save will still be there) and I'll setup EmuNAND.
