Just copy everything off the SD card to your pc

Ok, that's temprary possible, but then, where do i find the savefiles for moving it back later?

Can you explain a bit more what your plan is?

If it is migrating to another(bigger) SD copy+paste everything is okay and even intended by Nintendo (description of this is in the official manual). (Same if you want to use your SD temporary for another purpose and restore the 3DS data later)

If it is backing up saves and selectively restoring them when needed the "copy+paste everything" advise is at best a waste of time (depending on the amount of data it can be really annoying) and in the worst case this advise (manual restore) can - depending on the game(s) - lead to partial or complete loss of progress.

Not to mention that restoring a complete backup of "Nintendo 3DS" reverts all games to an earlier state at once (which is certainly not what you want in case you only want to go back to a previous save in a single game)

Proper backup of valuable savegames (in unencrypted form and for easy restore) requires at least homebrew access -- even better full custom firmware.

Only a decrypted backup allows restoring in case of loss, theft or (not repairable) damage/defect of the console. Any form manual restore only works as long as you still have the same console in working condition* and you did not use "Format System Memory" after the backup. Restoring saves of games using the above anti-feature is not possible without homebrew/CFW.

But to answer your question, you find the save data in:
SD:/Nintendo 3DS/<your ID0>/<your ID1>/title/00040000/<title ID>/data/00000001.sav

For title IDs: (the IDs have 00040000 before the actual ID in the database)

Games may have extdata (extra data) in addition to their saves.

If you have any further questions or problems just ask.

Good luck and have fun!

The 3DS which shall be hacked has his orignal 4GB card and i want to transfer the game-savefiles to the new 64GB card, which should be used for hacking 3ds.

So after hacking the 3ds, is it possible, to move my safefiles from the other (original) 4GB card to the new 64GB card (same device)? Can i just move the files from the one card to the other in a fully cfw 3ds (sd card)?

Yes that's the official way to do it
