Gaming Saved Games and Blocks Free

I used the option to move some saved games from the Wii to the SD card.. But when I play the game, it asks to create a new save game file... What is the purpose of the SD slot?

I assume that in order to play that saved file, I would have to move it back to the Wii first? If so, this sucks, and I dont see any point in having the SD slot.. Maybe just to take a saved game with you to a friends.

Am I doing something wrong because I thought that the Wii would scan the sd slot for saved games too>?

No, it doesn't load saves from sd
I guess sd is only to put VC/wiiware on (which also don't load from sd

) and homebrew

only reason why ninty implented sd support is for homebrew i think

But Nintendo does NOT want you to run home brew either or we wouldn't have to do the Twighlight hack to get a home brew channel...

I guess it is good that you don't have to loose saved games..
