Gaming Save files

just a quick question; i've got a save file from the second version of the pokemon black patch. now, i've downloaded the third version pre-patched, and i want to transfer my save file to the third version, but i don't know how. can anyone help me, or do i have to start again on the third version? a friend said to rename the save file to be the same as the new version, but that didn't help.

It should work, Just rename it EXACTLY the same.
Unless you are trying to put a white save with a black save

Duh no, it's a save file from the pre-patched second version of Black, and I copy/pasted the file name, so I have no idea why it's not working.

i thought bumping is against the rules.. hmmn...

maybe the gameID changed when you patched it...

ask on the thread where you got the patch.. maybe they know why..
