Thank you, I’m glad you’re enjoying DS Style! I appreciate you taking the time to write out your suggestions.Thank you for this great project! A few suggestions:
1. It would’ve been great if there was a setting to quickly boot a game with the add-ons enabled without showing the boot menu, however if there were any issues, one could quickly open the menu with a button to turn the problematic add-ons off before booting the game
2. The Analogue-inspired theme looks awesome! It would have been great if the game list itself also followed this minimalistic “round” design (look at the screenshot). The GBA console icon also seems superfluous in the list view
3. It would’ve been stylistically better if there was no EZ-FLASH boot logo —just the boot logo of a currently chosen theme
4. I don’t know if this is the expected behavior but if you turn the show the Start menu option off, when resetting a game you would boot to this game again instead of seeing recently played games even if this setting was enabled
5. Some colors profiles with the Analogue theme make the menu impossible to navigate because you cannot see everything (maybe focus only on the “custom” option?)
6. Rumble strength setting
7. I know this is very unlikely, but it would’ve been a dream come true, if there was an option to universally patch games, so that the colors of older GBA titles would look good on newer screens, more info: https://www.retrogameboards.com/t/p...-backlit-screen-looks-wrong-am-i-alone/1623/4

1. This is a nice idea.
2. Analogue Style is a showcase of what can be created with the DS Style Customiser rather than separately developed interfaces. The Customiser lets you replace the GBA icon, including using a blank transparent icon if you prefer no icon. More extensive layout changes may require source changes.
3. Unfortunately, the EZ-Flash logo appears before the DS Style kernel takes control, so DS Style cannot remove or replace it. The later DS Style splash image could be changed to a black screen with no sound if you'd prefer, with the Customiser, but you'd still have to wait the same amount of time.
4. DS Style will always boot or reset to whatever you have set under the 'Boot to' option (unless you have it set to Start screen with the Start screen disabled, then it boots to the SD Card). The separate option called 'Start screen: favourites/recently played' controls what displays as the featured games on the start screen (this can also be toggled with Select whilst on the Start screen). If your 'Boot to' option isn't being respected, that would be a bug, but I haven't been able to recreate it based on the setup you describe.
5. Analogue Style has two colour slots specifically designed for its black and white appearances. The Customiser program includes all the DS Style colour options, so someone can have up to 16 custom headers/colours in their theme.
6. I believe rumble strength is determined by the game or its rumble patch, so a universal setting would require additional patch-side support and may not behave consistently across games.
7. This would need ROM-specific patches or a separate patching project.
Thanks again for the thoughtful feedback. DS Style and its Customiser are also open source, so anyone interested in experimenting with the larger visual or patching ideas is very welcome to contribute, or create their own versions.
