Hacking Save file transfer - still impossible?

My 3DS died as a result of water damage...all the games were eShop games on the SD card, which is not damaged. I bought a refurb 3DSXL and Nintendo is in the process of doing the account transfer.

I heard afterwards that the SAV files may be locked to the console, not the account.
I would have to send in the original 3DS for attempted repair (i'm pretty sure the logic board is fried)
I called Nintendo - they say that once the account transfer is done, I won't be able to transfer the saves again, because the account will already have been transferred.

Is there any method to transfer the SAV's off the original SD card to the new system?

Hm yes you should be able to system transfer it is about 7days that you can't.
I have read tha you can do it max 5 times.

It is the system transfer tool that you are talking about? Or the sd gamecard tool?

he said the 3ds is completely dead...so he cant do a system transfer
