Hacking Save backup question

Hello there just a quick question is there anyway you can back your saves up on a legit wii u fimeware ie to a usb or hdd so i can copy them over to my pc or vise versa for completed game saves for mario zelda ect, or do i need cfw to do this?

You need CFW if you want to backup your Wii U game save.
