Hacking sav extraction and imbeding

ok so how can i get the sav data off of my retail games? also is it possible to put that save data back onto the retail game later on?.... i tried using small ftp and nds_backup_tool_wifi.nds but i couldnt get it to connect.

Are you trying to do this on a DSi?
Unfortunately Wifi backup tools and savsender don't want to work on a DSi.
At least, I think that's what I've heard, never actually tried it by wifi since I have a Slot-2 card.

well i was looking for a free way to do it. It isnt worth 30-40 dollars for me
