Hacking Sandisk 4gb MicroSDHC Slow?

I never pay attention to what class the Micro SD is or anything. I buy the most affordable and I've yet to have a problem. Everything loads quickly and works okie dokie.

Same with me. I went from a 2 GB Class 4 Kingston microSD card to an 8 GB Class 2 Sandisk microSDHC card and my performance was actually faster. I had some slowdown in goldenrod city in Soul Silver on my Kingston card but on the class 2 Sandisk, no lag.

maybe its the source of your .nds rom files? i have a 4gb patriot microsdcard class4 i think and it works fine, no slowdowns but im new to this ds, don't play much games

It is slow since it's class 2.. I recently bought a class 6 and is is fast..

Class 2: 16 Mbit/s (2 MByte/s)
Class 4: 32 Mbit/s (4 MByte/s)
Class 6: 48 Mbit/s (6 MByte/s)
Class 10: 80 Mbit/s (10 MByte/s)

But that's Write Speed and not Read Speed.

Yep, but people often assume that faster write speed = better quality overall = faster read speed too. Of course, this isn't always the case. I'd say consider brand first, then class. Also, make sure the card you're buying is real.
