Is there any proven universal method for a sandbox escape? If not universal, then at least one that works on firmware 9.00?
I’m asking because I’d like to add a sandbox escape to pPlay so that I can play files from the BD drive (/mnt/disc), but while being in the sandbox I don’t have access to /mnt.

Did you still need this or did the 4.03 version of pPlay include what you wanted? I have one that I know works on 9.00. Or I could likely just add the escape to the pPlay app and maybe have whatever data folders just install as part of the pkg. Maybe add ftp as well?

Anyway, if you are still looking for a confirmed working escape method for 9.00 (and lower I am guessing) just let me know.
Cheers!

Yes, please, i,ve tried to add sandbox escape via vibe coding using gemini/grok and in theory it works but in filemanager i see only sandboxed dirs still :(

I will see how easy it looks to add to the pPlay app later today hopefully. If I suck too much to pull that off I will toss you the files for the escape and mounting so you can have at 'er. I'll check back in a bit with ya either way after I finish up with something I am in the middle of. Working in and around the same sort of area.

Don't use Gemini/Grok for that. Use Sonnet.

Personally, I stick to the originals.

Call me old fashion maybe..

I find that I learn the most by taking things apart and seeing how they work which typically ends up with some aspect of something new being implemented in something else along some line. Like this current sandbox escape stuff....I was able to see how Lapy does things in his file explorer, was able to produce the same result with the same universal plugin and then moved to other versions from dark programmer I think, with more functions. Just a current example.

@szczuru - I haven't gone into the pPlay app yet. Apologies. I am working on some Retroach PS4 stuff though and think some people might dig what I have going a bit.
