Hacking Sakura skins - NEED HELP

I now it sounds nooby but could anyone tell me how I let skins for sakura work!
I'd really appreciate if you help me.

how to make or how to apply?
applying is simple, locate the skin in your filebrowser, and open it.

Just download neo/toni's one and edit it too your liking or you could use mercary's skin and edit it.

But, if you ask how to make a skin for Sakura, you're probably not skilled yet!!
It's pretty complicated to make a good skin, and believe me, I know what I'm saying..Your best shot would be getting one of the skins in raw format (not compiled in .skn file), and than modify segments/parts of skin at your will..but it will take you time and effort to do it right..
Programs that I use would be PhotoShop and Fireworks (NeoGunKuruma helped with that)..

If you'll have any more concrete questions, ask and we'll try to answer you..

I don't think you really have to have any experience.
Because, I made my very first skin, and it's beautifull! (I think

)

You just have to have inmagination, or something to base your skin on

Yeh you don't need much experience, just keep practicing and once you are happy wt=ith your skin post it only gba temp and add it too the downloads section.. I just started making another sakura skin it's a vista one I'm no where near finishing yet though. Here's some screenies;

fireworks? Never used it, is it good? I use gimp because it's free. Shall i switch to fireworks?

Well , i looked it up and it said its really aimed at web building so i don't think I'm buying it if i can just use gimp for free.

it can be used for building animations, image manipulation, and several other purposes.
also useful for modifying game textures of PC games.
