Only if you want to play GBA games.

It works without expansion, but in that case, it'll use some space off your microSD (nothing too big, it is that file swapfile.$$$ 16 MB)..
But it does work little better if you have an expansion..

And, as Chrono_Tata said, no GBA compatibility without expansion!!

Well, I'm not sure what do you mean by that?!
It's not supposed to ask for expansion....
Try backing up everything on your PC, format microSD, and put everything back.....It could be corrupted microSD..

Try that, and write what happened..

EDIT: I just tried my Sakura without expansion, and everything works just fine....
Format the card, and then try to boot it again...

Well, I'm using the one that's in my sig....

M3 Sakura English firmware translation (chaotic_geo bundle) (thanx to iamnobody, Narin, NeoGunKuruma, Densetsu3000, me..)

And I'm having no problems whatsoever..
Download and use that one, it's the final up-to-date version of English Translation..

I don't have DLDI version, as I'm actually using M3 Real....sorry about that once again..
You can ask someone who has it to upload it for you..So you can check it up.....

@Shuny: No if you're using it on other flashcarts, if you're using M3 Real, than yes..

I can tell you 100% for sure, that people used DLDI version without the expansion..(they even got it to work on DS-X!!)..

But I never learned to make that version, as I never needed it..

Well, I wasn't actually that much of a help, but you're welcome..

Lots of people here use DLDI Sakura, just PM someone who left a post that it works for him..You shouldn't have a problem finding somebody..

M3 have already fixed the Rudolph's M3 Real to iTouch hack, so I very much doubt that the dldi hack will work on the next version of Sakura, unless Rudolph releases an update.
