in the newer releases (08,09) pause button for SG-1000 games is not working

For now change machine to "Mark III" / "Master System" to pause properly, but you have to raise gamma for a bit. I was testing the Arcade ROMs compatible and:
1. Champion Golf don't open up (Crowns Golf don't too, maybe I got wrong romset, even though I tested 3 different sources...)
2. Mega-Tech works partially (I hope this is intended because of this being a Master System emulator and not a Genesis one...), After Burner and OutRun works nicely.
3. Fantasy Zone 2 and Opa Opa don't open too (Maybe I have wrong romset)

Those arcade ROMs are based on MAME romset? If yes, which?
Anyways good work! :yaynds:
On a sidenote, where I put MSX BIOS files? I'm clueless... Even though I'm a noob on this, :P

You put the MSX bios wherever you want and then select it in settings.
Don't know about Champion Golf, what system is that?
Fantasy Zone 2 and Opa Opa are encrypted which I don't support right now.

gameYob still does, what s8ds'nt - upscaling. Any chance of looking into that?

1. Oh, so I have wrong files... I'll let that aside for now.
2. Champion Golf as Arcade version of SG-1000 (I think that those were the ones supported, this and Champion Boxing - this works)
3. Okay, thanks, I'll keep looking on the Mega-Tech games. By what I see only the ones based on SMS works, right?

Overall, thanks for this masterpiece that is this emulator :yaynds:
I play on this as much as I play my DS games.

What extension do you have to use for Mega Drive/Genesis games?, i'm using .md but it's not finding any roms.

.SG - SG-1000/SC-3000
.??? - Mark III
.SMS - Master System/2
.GG - Game Gear
.??? - Mega Drive/Genesis
.ROM - ColecoVision
.MV - Othello Multivision
.??? - MSX

thank you:)

found another bug (08,09): DS select button as system reset can't be disabled

suggestion for the author: Y button as auxiliary SMS button 2 for those games that have jump button swapped, so we can play without remap everytime

Wow, I need to get up to date, I'm still on 0.7!

Edit: Aw poo, my save state for Ultima IV doesn't load in 0.9.

Haven't noticed it freeze when I try to load up the menu yet, though.

Well... one does if one has something to add!

I got a chance this weekend to really explore S8DS. It's always been a favorite emulator for me (mostly for Colecovision gaming - rekindling my love for the system in 1982). This time around, I got a chance to try out some of the support for SG-1000, SC-3000 and the MSX (along with Coleco and Sega Master System these all share very similar architectures). I'm impressed with everything here. It's not perfect - a few of the larger MSX games won't run and the SGM and Megacart Colecovision games aren't supported (that came out probably after the emulator was written - it's mostly a module to make a Colecovision a low-end MSX with added RAM and different audio chip). I'm fairly sure most people use it to play Sega Master System games - but the support for Colecovision, MSX and the SG (Sega Game) consoles is what I appreciate most. I was surprised at how active the MSX hobby community is - lots of great homebrews have come out for it!

@FluBBa - great job, as always. It's the 2nd best emulator on the system. That honor goes to Nitrografx (being able to play Lords of Thunder SuperCD on the DSiXL with no slowdown is amazing). Of course Nitrografx is also done by Flubba so he remains the king of DS emulators. Long live the king!

I don't think the sources for this have been posted - but hopefully one day you do release the sources so perhaps another eager hobby-developer will pick up the ball and advance it down the field.

i'd love to see further improvement for these marvelous emulators, especialy nitrografx soundwise. i'm one of those trying to reduce/eradicate freezes while calling the menu by touchscreen on my AK2 (more often with nitrografx though), just found this (maybe) helpful thread https://gbatemp.net/threads/nitrografx-s8ds-freeze.530023/

Thanks to FluBBa and wavemotion. you never cease to impress bringing more systems for us to play on the old but lovely nds
