Kind of. The included NCAs are compressed which makes the whole NSP smaller.I'm just now hearing a lot about this "NSZ" format. Is it a compressed NSP? Kinda like the ISO -> CSO format from the PSP days?
Nice, lot of simple colors so easy to compress.Btw Link's Awakening went from over 6 gb to under 3 gb. Now that's something.
It's a Python... so yes it already is thereIs there (soon) a Linux version of this? My NSPs are stored on a Cloud box which runs Linux.....
There went a lot of thought and discussion into why zStandard was chosen for booth NSZP and NSZ as compression algorithm. Most thought went into how to allow random read access for emulators like Yuzu and potentially CFW in the future. ........

Unfortunately installing Splatoon2.nsz via Tinson in Tinfoil 5 did not work.
There was an NCA error for which I'll provide the screenshot once I'm home.
Did anyone of you guys already test the combo (NSZ -> Google Drive -> Tinson -> Tinfoil 5).
FW 9.0.1 with newest SX OS.
NSP installation works fine that way but NSZ does not as it seems.
Pretty sure I had that activated but I'll check again.Have you tried the legendary and super secret combination for install non signed games?

No with the Zstandard they will be very fast to decompress, it's just the compression that takes a lot of time.Tbh I'm not sure whether we really want this.
The only purpose of XCIs is to mount and play them with SX OS but if they are compressed I think they'll have longer loading times. Could be wrong though.
Is that so? Even then, if they can't be mounted on the fly but need to be decompressed, it would take some time to mount something like Witcher3.xcz I think. No with the Zstandard they will be very fast to decompress, it's just the compression that takes a lot of time.
that game could never work to mount as a xcz since it would eat up all memory just to decompress it.Is that so? Even then, if they can't be mounted on the fly but need to be decompressed, it would take some time to mount something like Witcher3.xcz I think.
