Hacking Run .dol files for 4.0 update.

How do I run .dols? I know how to install .wads. I have HBC.
I am using this guide.

If I dont plan on running any back ups, do i need this "preloader?" What does it do?

If you don't know how to run dols or instal wads then you really shouldnt be running/installing them right now bad things could happen if you screw something up.
