So, if the console store does shut down, will PKGj still work?

Most likely yes.

The licenses with nonpdrm are generic and all the same.

Perfect. I have several on physical, but no idea how to rip them, haha. And I have an SD card taking up the spot.

Not just Vita, also PSP and PS3 games will no longer be sold.

Very annoying, but I suppose it has been a very long time. Nearly 10 years for Vita, far more for PSP.

The key thing to look for is if/when downloading previously bought software goes offline. Just losing the ability to purchase won't change anything.

Now in the Ps Store you will find only the Ps4 & 5 games,at least on the Ps App!

@yuyuyup ,i download games for PS Vita always from PKGj,NPS Browser o NopayStation.
There are rumors around that they might not allow purchased software downloads either. Which is a nasty, nasty move I have like 300~€ of vita games on the store, I hope they don't go trough with that.

That is definitely my fear.

This simply cannot happen. The uproar would be deafening and if there would be none then it would only mean we as consumers suck and add a stamp to my position on digital only. When people get all giddy and talk about how digital is so great, digital is the future, physical media is obsolete, etc. I just have to laugh at what absolutely oblivious fools they are as they celebrate the fact that unbeknownst to them they are having the privilege of ownership stripped from them slowly but surely.

If I pay for something, it should be mine forever. Period. If Sony should disallow the downloads of games we have already purchased on their stores, they should be hit the biggest class action lawsuit ever seen. If they indeed go that route, people simply HAVE to fight.

Digital just means you pay someone to allow you to borrow something, you new jacks never seem to get this and always moan and wail when the real owners asks for his toy back.

That's pretty bad...I've bought a new battery to use my PS Vita again and this rumor comes. The battery will arrive in June because of Covid, so one month left to download all bought games
