When you dig your own grave, you better build a ladder to get yourself out. Unfortunately for Sony their grave isn't long enough and is far too deep to support a ladder that would sit at the correct angle without snapping or falling over. The PS Vita has been a blunder from conception to release and at this point it's doomed to a worse fate then the PSP.

You should check out this thing called the PSP2000. It's doing pretty well.
So well in fact I think they're thinking about making a newer version. Crazy.

PSP is doing fine and has been doing fine for ages. It has had a great lineup of games for a while now, and still periodically increases its numbers.
Vita will do fine as well once more games release on it. Especially when devs take advantage of its power to release games the 3DS could never even pretend it was capable of.
