I don't really get the big deal - it's just another modchip - it just attaches at a different point and replaces a drive rather than modifying its operation. If it's real, great. If it's not, then never mind - but someone else will probably come out with a similar idea. More options are always good, especially since they require Nintendo to spread their resources more thinly.

They probably don't sell to anyone except resellers and if they're real you'll find them at legit stores like ozmodchips within the next few weeks, so unless you're a reseller you have no chance at getting scammed.
