Rovio: Console games are "dying"

This is what I think he's saying.

"Oh hey, in about 5 days, I made the most successful thing since sliced bread! I MUST BE GOD, and everything that competes will DIE IN A FIERY MASS. Oh, and I'm stupid and can't comprehend actual quality."

Yup, PC gaming ftw. Whatcha gonna do when your hardware's outdated?
Continue playing games at maximum settings with little performance drop. Crysis 2 will run at half the frame rate on consoles as it will on PC and it will have inferior texture quality because consoles don't have the same graphics performance as top end gaming computers, which ultimately still last a year or two if you buy top end parts.

So you make a shitty ( now be careful cause its sold millions of dollars) flash game for phones and expect me to believe that you know everything about the game industry? Eff off, you can talk when youve made the next Halo (not my first choice of games but its popular...and at leasts is a console game).

Honestly. Sounds stuff like this really pisses me off. Could you have a narrower mind?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Angry Birds has shifted 100 million copies, right? But do they even charge anything for the Android release? I know the game is popular on the iOS, but it's more popular on Android if I remember right and they usually don't charge anything for games on there... I guess my point is, you can't say jack about the industry when your only claim to fame is an extremely low budget game that everyone buys (or simply downloads for free) soley because it costs as much as a chocolate bar (or nothing at all) and ain't half bad at wasting five minutes while you're on the loo. Oh, and that's a rip off of FLASH GAMES like Crush the Castle and Castle Clout.

I mean, the guy is a complete joke. The only valid thing you could infer is the same thing Reggie said - that the App Store is devaluing games. That's causing great damage to the video game industry, but it'll take a lot more'n that to bring it down to zero HP. The home console industry is a stalwart bastard and it'll never die so long as there are developers out there making games hundreds of times better than anything on the App Store.

A highschooler who just happened to gain a ton of money and popularity developing a clone for the App Store? He obviously knows everything about the gaming industry.

I don't understand. You'd think he'd be just a little smarter than to say something like this. I know if I was in this situation, and someone asked me "What do you think will happen to the gaming industry involving the relationship between console and casual games?" I'd be like "Hell if I know!" because I'd know I don't know anything about the gaming market and industry.
