Guys im wondering about the option in rosalina menu, if you go to New 3DS menu it gives tou the option to change the Clock rate.

My console is in 268MHz.

But there is a 804MHz option.
I want to take care of my console.

If i change clock rate will affect the life of my console?

Is going to get hotter?

What could be the consequences?

its just to switch between o3ds clockrate and n3ds clockrate.

exclusive games need the higher clock (like binding of isaac) to run normally.
other games would usually not use high clockrate, unless you set it to do that in the luma menu.

your system is made to work with both (if its a n3ds, if its not, the option shouldnt do a thing) so lowering it does not help your system to live longer.
it does increase battery life a bit though.

So better let it in 268MHz then, i just want normal rate on menu and if i need it on for example binding of isaac it will use it automatically right?

In the Home Menu, the N3DS always runs at the higher clock rate. It only underclocks for games without a certain flag set. Only a very few games (such as Star Rush multiplayer) work better at the lower clock rate, but as was said, it does help battery life. It's recommended to play MGS 3D with the clock boost, though.
