Running latest version of Avast here too, scanned rominator and it found no viruses. Its possible your exe has become infected through other means, but Rominator is certainly NOT a virus.

Was wondering sincey ou'r incorporating DSC into Rominator, does that mean Rominator has the ability to trim roms without a database update? I tend to use DSC because Rominator needs an update to trim. On another note, I have been using AVG for a long time, it flagged Rominator once as a virus. I've been using AVG, and that was the first time it flagged it. I had to reformat my HDD for some reason, reinstalled AVG, didn't flag Rominator. Stupid antivirus programs, lol.

Hi! Just wanted to let you know that Avast! Antivirus has started recognizing Rominator for Windows.exe as a trojan: Win32:Trojan-gen {Other}.
I may have to uninstall it because of this... =(

Man, why the heck do these virus programs see Rominator as a virus? The developers really need to fix their database so that it can determine a little better what is a virus and what's not.

@mr_blonde_88:
I'm incorporating DSClippers into Rominator, and scrapping DSC. Rominator will be the Mega Tool

You do not need any updates to trim any games with Rominator 5. The database is only there with the trim size stored in it because some store the trimsize as 0.

Rominator 5 will let you trim any game

Update now available

Either download from my sig, or use the Check for Updates feature.

Note for Linux users: Because there is such a wide array of Linux distributions, it was impossible to make it 100%. If you're a Linux user, and have issues, I may not be able to fix it. My suggestion is to use Rominator with Wine.

Enjoy!

Great release Hank ! This should really be front page newsÂ

Any skinning app comming for it ?

I'll send a message to shaun

As for skinning -- Since it's so compact now, the skins were taken out of it -- They wouldn't be relevant at all. Like, where would you see any images anywhere because of the compactness?

I've updated to the new version, but now I can't seem to add roms to my flash card

When I try to add the to my flash card I get the following error -

An exception of class NilObjectException was not handled. The application must shut down.

Clicking OK crashes the app.

I'm running Vista - would that be a problem (previous version worked fine!)

Also, seems like I can't get the icons working either.

Well i was just setting up Rominator, and had finished doing so. After that i minimized it and then i tried to restore it by clicking on it in the task bar, just like i do with any other program. But for some reason i am unable to restore it no matter how many times i click it. I end up getting it restored by right clicking on Rominator in the task bar and then clicking restore. I run Windows XP and the previous version allowed me to restore it. It may be an isolated error or not i don't know, all though all my other programs minimize and restore normally. Thanks, though i ought to let you know.

I have the same problem too in Vista

Same problem here with Windows XP, so it's not a deal with platform

But this update is a big, big progress

Guys, I need you to stop flooding the topic with bug reports -- Please use Rominator's feedback system.

For the record, I cannot guarantee compatibility with Vista, as Vista itself is a pile of crapshoot, however it has been tested with XP and I have had no issues transferring to the flash card. Use the feedback system to provide me more details.

The next revision will have an improved feedback system, which will send me the settings you have as well in Rominator -- Sometimes that makes it easier to find a problem and fix it.

Wow! Very nice, thanks Hank

Of what I've tested so far, its working great. If I find any issues I'll send them through the feedback system.

Think its about time I dipped into my wallet and sent you a PayPal donation

Hi there! Well I first got very exited when i saw the new release. I'm still looking for a fully functionnal manager. Now that being said, i ran rominator and noticed a few thing i could just not live with/without:

1) .zip support and not that weird .rz format.
2) A way to backup saves from the flashcard to the computer. I find the actual save manager a bit weak.
3)The action menu is missing a lot of feature (shortcuts to the toolbox function mainly).

Other than that i find the appz really good looking so far! Its nice to look at and is shaping up nicely!

Keep up the good work.
John.

1) .zip support requires a plugin to purchase. I've spent enough money on developing Rominator, not worth it yet to add in Zip. Mind you, what's wrong with .rz? rZip is Rominator Zip, which is better than Zip for DS Games, as it stores information like header (rom name, cartridge code, version number), and icon, so when compressed Rominator recognizes it instantly. No having to process it by having the program unzipping and checking the files -- it knows what it already is!

2) Tools -> Show Game Saves. From there, click on the game you want to import the save for. click 'Add Save', and select your save on your flash. Done.

3) Action Menu isn't missing anything. The Toolbox is not an 'Action', it is a separate feature. Is it too hard to press Ctrl+T? (Or Command+T, for OS X users). Actions is for Rom Actions only.
