Yea, I just used Task Manager to force it into fullscreen (which then made it appear) and then i just resized it. Works great.

Just one question, some games have a yellow star behind their number, what is that?

Sure, I can allow for changing the font sizes.

And I guess that is where Rominator comes in handy now doesn't it
tongue.gif
Some may say that it's easier to do that from the OS, but with Rominator you can manage and organize -- and make it fun, too

Well, in my version of Linux, I didn't find it so easier to change the font from the OS (in fact, it worked for every other program I had running, except Rominator

)

So yes, if we can use Rominator to change them, that would be very nice!

Thank you

Hmm...I seem to have a bug/error, when I open it up [Rominator] it's minimized in the taskbar [Windows XP] and when I click on it, it never shows up.

That's not Rominator's fault. That's your OS's.

Try right-clicking on it in the task bar and press 'Restore'.

Yes, I know it's my computer's fault and not Rominator. It was working a few days ago but I'm not sure why it doesn't work now. By the way, I tried those "simple" methods but it doesn't work.

As you can see "Restore" is nulled.

He was having same problem as me. >_<

Try opening the Task Manger, right click on Rominator, and hit Maximize.

Yeah, I tried that before but it makes it out of proportion when I maximize it and everything is out of place.

Edit: Never mind, got it working.

Hi,

yesterday I upgrade my linux OS from Ubuntu Edgy to Ubuntu Feisty, and guess what: the police are now perfect for the display in the Rominator window...

So my problem is resolved. But I still think that being able to set the size of them in Rominator could be nice, so If you can add the option in a next release, thanks

I have a few suggestions/error finds for you, Hank! 8D

Graphical Disparity - Misaligned Button : It does not align with the other boxes. (The box that is not aligned is the one on the far left, not the one marked 'Misaligned')

misaligned_disp_opt.jpg

Graphical Update - Boxart Outline + 'No Game Selected' : I was thinking maybe putting an outline (or stroke) around where the Boxart goes and a 'No Game Selected' option could look nice.

boxart_outline.jpg

General Issue - Creating/Updating Lists : I noticed that when you make a Game/SmartList you only have one chance to name it. How did I notice this? By creating a new one and clicking outside of the text entry field by mistake >_ Rominator Help : This menu doesn't do anything for me. Not sure what it is meant to do @_@;

Possible Solution : There is no readme.txt or .hlp file included with the Rominator program I got, not sure if this is normal? o_O;

Allright, here's my comments on your suggestions:

1) The Misalignment:
No biggie. I'll shift it down a pixel. Happy now?

2) The Box-Art Outline
A minor thing. I have bigger fish to fry with the program, as as soon as I get other things done, then I'll do the tiny things.

3) Game List Renaming
Again, not at the top of my list, but it's in there. When available, you can change the name by double clicking on the name.

4) Naming Scheme Live-Update
What I can do is have it update what the game name will look like. That's not a problem, but still in order to save it you need to press the Set button, because it checks to make sure there's either a rom name or rom number in the scheme, just to be sure that the names of each game will be unique.

5) I'll add an option to clear the default folder. It can show you how many games are in there and how much HD space is being wasted -- this option will only be available if you're using a game location other than the default.

6) The rename button appears when you click on the games. If you want to rename one game, you click the game, then the rename button. If you want to rename a select number of games, you click on them, and click the rename button. If you want to rename ALL games, select em all, and press the rename button. It'll rename whatever's highlighted, which I found is better.

7) Save/Discard settings
Nah. It's much easier to store everything to the settings right away as it's changed. Besides, it's not like there's a multitude of features that would be impossible to fix if you accidentally checked something

8) Help Menu
This is coming
biggrin.gif
In the next release it'll point to the help web site

Good to hear that

I only noticed the box misalignment because I was originally going to ask what the four boxes were for (noticed while cropping picture in Photoshop)

So, what is it for? (The four boxes with colour)

Thanks for updating the database. Now if you'll excuse me I got pokemon to catch.

You're welcome

I was originally going to release v3.1.2 on Sunday, but I have a whole pack of things I need to do which will bring it up to 3.2. I should have it ready for Tuesday night.

Here's my v3.2 List of features to be released:
• Release Online Help documentation
• Get Rid of Save Location in Settings (To make way for the Extensive Save System)
• Fix Misalignment of Color Boxes in Settings
• Outline Box Art Area
• Live-Update Naming Scheme
• Option to Clear Default Folder
• Rename Game Lists
• Option to change font sizes
• Do not allow restricted characters in naming scheme
• Add option to replace spaces in filenames with underscores
• Region Filter Statistics
• Fix Drag and Drop onto blank area in list bug

Am I missing anything?

Hi, this is my first post at gbatemp

I only have one minor glitch.
I have Game & Watch Collection (J).nds in my flash and it cause rominator not able to browse my folder.
It says "Error! There was an error loading the DS database. It is possible that it does not exist anymore".
I f i remove it then it run just fine.
Just want you to know that.

Thx for the great app

@fanatm:
Welcome to GBAtemp, where you're only as big as the size of your flash card
tongue.gif

The game you're trying to add to the list is an XXXX game, which currently isn't officially supported by Rominator. Some of them work, and some of them don't. It's not on my crucial to-do list, as I've meant for Rominator to be a *commercial* game organizer, but I'll have it place the nds file in the list anyways.

@Xcursion:
See above.

@Typhoe:
You're welcome

@Regiiko:
Amen.
