Homebrew ROM Suffixes

Hey, just wondering what the different ROM suffixes mean.

I can assume that (U) means USA, and E means European. But can I play (E) games if I bought my DS in USA?

You can play any country games on any DS. The DS is region free.

(With the exception of Chinese i believe.

what is M5 and M3 suffixes ?

Multi-5 and Multi-3, meaning that the rom has 5 and 3 different languages in it respectively.
