Gaming Roller coaster Tycoon 2 on Windows 7?

I've installed rct 2 and whenever I click on the game it tells me this:


Unable to initialize graphics system


could someone please help? I have no idea what is causing this

I've had problems with this game on Windows 7 too. Difference is that the game loads and stuff, but it eventually makes my computer freeze, and I have to force shut down (no ctrl alt del).
 
game works fine for me on win 7

didnt have to change any compatibility settings
 
this why i install windows XP in another partition just to play game s like this one can you tell me what graphics card you have or are you running integrate graphics ?

You could've just used a virtual machine to save the hassle of selecting which partition to boot from everytime.
