Gaming Roller coaster Tycoon 2 on Windows 7?

I've installed rct 2 and whenever I click on the game it tells me this:


Unable to initialize graphics system


could someone please help? I have no idea what is causing this

Have you tried playing with the compatibility mode settings?

it still does the same thing

I've had problems with this game on Windows 7 too. Difference is that the game loads and stuff, but it eventually makes my computer freeze, and I have to force shut down (no ctrl alt del).

for me it shows that loading bar and when it gets to the end of the bar it gives that message

didnt have to change any compatibility settings

You can run it on a virtual machine. I did the same for classic old Lego Loco

Gotta love that game. Especially when LAN is set up.

it worked before when i had win 7 ultimate

now that a have home premium it doesn't seem to work.

What manufacturer made your graphics card?
Check on their website for drivers and install those. If that does not work, try removing/disabling them temporary.

You could've just used a virtual machine to save the hassle of selecting which partition to boot from everytime.
