There have been several iterations of logging simulator, such options also being part of farming simulator, and I once recall seeing a biology teaching tool that uses a dead log as an ecosystem, one part of it was almost like an upspecced version of that foxes and rabbits thing you might have played with at one point so you could make it a game by removing an element.
